Don't be intimidated by Yale's reputation. The most important thing about every student here is not his or her SAT score, high school GPA, or anything like that, but what makes him or her UNIQUE. Yale is the most-laid back IVY, especially when compared to Harvard which is way too uptight. The academics are definitely above par. Everyone is friendly and talented. It's great. Yale is a really great place. One of the many things that make it unique, aside from its beautiful, gothic architecture, fabulous and renowned professors, and great student body, is the residential college system (think: Harry Potter) which allows you to have the "small liberal arts college" feel in a larger setting.
